e only ever choose high quality and attractive properties to manage and when the owners of this apartment approached us we were in no doubt! This beautiful property is in Sussex Square, one of Brighton’s premier addresses. The apartment is part of a magnificent Regency building and has its own private entrance. It is a very spacious apartment with a very long and impressive hall with bookshelves and even a quiet reading area and desk…ideal if you are here for work. The apartment is very practical with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of its truly unique features however, is a fantastic private oasis garden area with a small water feature, unusual trees and fauna and an al fresco dining area making it a perfect place to relax in the evenings.
The owners have decorated the apartment very stylishly with carefully chosen original retro pieces of furniture and have created a contemporary feel. Even down to the last plate..you get the impression that everything has been bought with style in mind. It is still very much a comfortable home from home however, with lots of books and games, Wi-fi, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, dvd and LCD tv with additional channels. It has been fitted to a truly excellent standard with wooden floors and modern high quality fittings.
The beach is just a few hundred metres to the right of the apartment and across the road you have access to five acres of private residents gardens; the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland”, and there is a secret private tunnel from the gardens down to the beach. This apartment is a peaceful retreat!
At the end of the road is “Hudson and Bridges”, a Porter’s Lodge for local residents where you can sit and enjoy a cake and a luxury hot chocolate and buy organic home made bread and croissants for your al fresco breakfast! There are two convenience stores and a newsagents within 100 metres and Kemp Town with its village feel and independent delis and food stores is a two minute walk away. Also within a short walk is Lidls and a short drive or bus ride away there is a large Asda at Brighton Marina. Self catering couldn’t be easier.
Sussex Square is in Kemp Town where there are fabulous gastro pubs and restaurants but if you want to go out in central Brighton it’s a fifteen minute walk along the sea front. Kemp Town itself has a friendly and bohemian feel and has coffee shops, book shops, exclusive gift shops and antique shops.
There is a bus stop very close by where you can take a bus straight into central Brighton and the service is very cheap and frequent. There are also frequent buses to the Marina where you can enjoy a boat trip and eat out looking at the many yachts.
Parking is free in nearby streets just a couple of minutes walk away.
A description of the property
Decorated in white throughout with wooden floors and a high standard contemporary kitchen and modern stylish bathroom suites. Two spacious double bedrooms both have patio doors to access the beautifully designed garden area.
The property has a private entrance down some steps where you come to a smaller entrance patio and the front door. The apartment has two double bedrooms and there are two bathrooms accessed from the hall. There is room in each bedroom for a travel cot.
The apartment has a spacious feel to it and has a wide corridor with great storage areas.
The Hallway
Through the front door is the impressive, wide and very long hallway with some curved walls making it an unusual space with built in bookcases full of great books and games. To the right of the front door is a utility room and all other rooms are accessed from the hall.
Lounge/Diner/Kitchen
A large, open plan sociable area with a funky purple leather curved sofa, a glass top dining table that can seat six and a high gloss white kitchen with black granite worktops. The kitchen is beautifully finished and fully equipped with everything you need to self cater. There is a washing machine/dryer and fridge freezer in the utlity room, and there is a dishwasher and additional fridge in the kitchen. White wooden shutters are on the large sash windows. A very comfortable space to cook, eat and relax in front of the television!
The Bedrooms
The bedrooms are both spacious rooms with king size beds and built in wardrobes. They both have double French doors leading out onto the garden. There is Egyptian white cotton bed linen and towels are also provided.
The Bathrooms
Both bathrooms are accessed from the hall and are finished to a very high standard in a contemporary style. One bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and the other is a shower room with mosaic tiling and a good quality shower.

Additional Information
White Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels are included. These are changed on a weekly basis. If you are staying longer than a week we can arrange for the property to be cleaned for you at a small additional cost.
All electricity and gas costs are included.
If you would like champagne and flowers waiting for you on arrival or pampering treatments ready to indulge yourself all this can be arranged with us. We can also have a basic grocery pack waiting for you. Whatever your requirements we are happy to help.
There is no smoking inside the property but you can smoke on the patio.
Price for the property
From £495 to £995 per week
Weekend breaks may be available and midweek Mon to Fri deals also available. Please ring us to discuss your requirements.
Price for other requirements such as additional cleaning services, welcome grocery pack, champagne, etc all by arrangement with us.
We hold a £250 damage/cleaning deposit that will be returned in full as soon as you leave providing there are no major breakages or damage.
