Great value pied a terre

Upper Rock Apartment is a well designed and economical pied a terre. Ideal for an executive here for work who need the practical benefits of an apartment or for a couple on holiday. The apartment is close to the seafront and between St George’s Road and the village feel of Kemp Town with its tea rooms, and local shops or if you turn right you are in the hubub of st James’ Street with more shops, a supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops and a short walk down to the Royal Pavilion. A very practical location and an apartment that offers neat and stylish design at great value.

Description

There is one double bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room but the apartment best suits a maximum of two occupants.

Upper Rock Apartment is a small one bedroom apartment that has been fitted with a stylish new kitchen and bathroom and offers a well decorated, neat and stylishly furnished home from home. Ideal for someone who needs a place while staying in Brighton for work or for a couple who prefer the practicalities of an apartment for a holiday. The apartment is at the back of the building on the second floor.

The apartment is in Upper Rock Gardens which is a practical location as shops are nearby and it is also not a far walk into town straight along Edward Street or St James’ Street. The old part of Kemp Town locally called Kemp Town village, along St George’s Road, has a good range of independent shops including delis, a grocer, a patisserie, an award winning butcher as well as great tea rooms and coffee shops and lots of vintage shops. Ideal for an afternoon browsing around. If you turn right down St James’ Street this is a more cosmopolitan area with a supermarket and lots more shops and coffee shops and leads you down to the centre of Brighton near the Royal Pavilion. If you don’t fancy the short walk there are plenty of buses so it’s easy if you buy too many tings in town and need to pop back.

If you want the beach just head a few steps straight down the road and you’re there!

Entrance

There is secure intercom entry to the Regency building which has been converted into flats. The entrance to the apartment itself is up a couple of flights of stairs.

Living area/kitchen

The open plan room has a newly fitted stylish kitchen which has neutral cupboards with copper handles. THe kitchen has everything you need to self cater and there is a washing machine in the cupboard next to the bathroom. The owner has thought carefully about the design and colour scheme in the apartment and it has a kind of vintage/Scandi feel. There is a dining table for four and a sofa bed (although the apartment is best suited for two). An LCD tv and DVD player are handy for nights in and there is WiFi. There is a large window making this a light, bright room and the window faces towards the back of the building so there isn’t road noise. This is the same for the bedroom also.

Bedroom

The bedroom has a double bed, vintage style bedside lamps and an antique walnut wardrobe.

Bathroom

A neat bathroom with a white modern bathroom suite and a bath with a shower over it. We love the grey tiled mosaic flooring.
