Roundwoods

In the middle of a wooded area, Roundwoods really is a “get away from it all” place. The house is surrounded by a wooded area and has a fantastic garden with a wooden tree house, a fire pit area with seating and a veranda where you can sit out and enjoy the stars. The house has been completely renovated by an interior designer and has been decorated and furnished in a simple, rustic way; in keeping with the setting and nature of the property. The stone floors are from York and there is the luxury of under floor heating as well as a wood burning stove. The garden is absolutely amazing and has a huge tree house and a great area where you can all sit round the fire pit and toast marshmallows!

Entrance

The entrance is a great boot store area and also has the washing machine.

Kitchen/Lounge/Diner

This is a huge open plan area and has stone flooring with underfloor heating. The kitchen has been specially built and has a butler sink, reclaimed marble worktops, shabby chic pantry cupboard and a dining table for four. This property has a rustic, minimalist feel to it which adds to its charm and is totally in keeping with the “back to nature” feel of the property. There is a retro fridge freezer and a large range cooker. There isn’t a dishwasher.

The lounge area has a comfy sofa and a few additional chairs and benches. To bring a little of the modern world back in there is a large flat screen tv with freeview channels and a playstation and dvd player. There is a wood burning stove. There are doors the length of the lounge which open out onto a decked veranda facing the wooded garden.

This is a great area for a small family gathering as the doors can be opened out onto the veranda also.

The Bedroooms

There are two bedrooms. Both have double beds. One is slightly larger and could accommodate a child’s bed or you could use the futon mattresses on the floor. Please note bedding is provided for the beds but you would have to bring your own additional bedding and bedlinen for the spare mattresses.

The Bathroom

The bathroom has a roll top bath and a separate large walk in shower.

The Garden

The garden is fully enclosed and is surrounded by woods. There are two deep unguarded ponds so this property is unsuitable for young children. The tree house is also high and has rope guards, but again this is unsuitable for young children without supervision. The garden is a fabulous place for evenings on the veranda or bird watching from the tree house.

The price includes all utility bills and bedlinen for the two double beds.

There is a small welcome pack provided on arrival.

Well behaved dogs are permitted. Please note there are two unguarded pond areas; one is a man made pond, the other is a natural pond with weeds and reeds. Dogs may require supervision if they are inclined to swim and jump in water.

This property is unsuitable for young children due to the unguarded water and high tree house.

There are supermarkets approximately ten minutes away by car. The nearest village which has shops and amenities is a few minutes drive away.
