Classic style in a fantastic location

With overtones of 1930s style and opulence, Garbo House will not disappoint. Beautifully designed throughout, it has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room and a large living/dining area. Located in a charming street, the house is close to everything Brighton has to offer, just off Western Road and a mere 10 minute walk from the Brighton station. And let’s not forget the sea view when you step out the front door.

Description

Bedrooms 1 and 3 each have 3 single beds, while bedrooms 2 and 4 each have 2 single beds. In all bedrooms, 2 of the beds are zip and link, so they can easily be joined to make doubles. They’re usually set out as singles, but if you need a different arrangement just let us know in advance. Please note two bedrooms are ground floor, two are top floor, with the living area on the floor in between.


The house is a large Regency town house dating back to 1830, situated on one of Brighton’s oldest streets. The house contains many original features; such as fireplaces and cornering, as well as fantastic high ceilings that add to its opulent feel. Beautiful interior design with Farrow and Ball paints, carefully chosen and coordinated accessories and finished to a high standard. Located in a very central location, it’s close to shops, bars, restaurants, the beach and Brighton station.

Entrance

The front door has a handy keypad, so you don’t have to worry about losing keys.

Two bedrooms and a shower room are on the ground floor. One bedroom has three single beds and the other has two. All the beds can be configured as king size beds if you prefer as they are hotel standard zip and link beds.

A family bathroom is at the top of the first flight of stairs and has a bath with a shower over it.

Kitchen

On the first floor is the kitchen and living area. This property has a large, stylish kitchen with everything you need for the perfect stay – dishwasher, fridge and 5-burner hob, plus De’Longhi microwave, kettle and toaster. There’s also a utility room that contains a separate freezer and washer-dryer.

Dining/Living area

The kitchen opens out on to a large, beautifully furnished living/dining area with exposed floorboards. The dining area has plenty of room for guests to sit down and eat together – with beautiful lanterns suspended over the table. And the lounge area has a gorgeous L-shaped leather sofa, plus cubes for extra seating. Mounted over the stunning fireplace is a 42” plasma TV, and there’s also a Blu-ray player.

Top Floor

Bedrooms

On the top floor are two more bedrooms. One has three beds and one has two. These can also be arranged as doubles.

Each of the 4 bedrooms in the property boasts chic furnishings and accessories. From mounted stag heads to padded headboards, every item has been selected with care. All the bedrooms come complete with mirrors, hairdryers and hanging space for clothes. The two front bedrooms also have oblique sea views.

Bathroom

In keeping with the rest of the house, both the bathroom and shower room (equipped with twin sinks) are elegant and stylish. One of the bedrooms also has a sink.

Please note the property is over several floors and may not be suitable for those who find stairs a problem. Please note that two bedrooms are on the ground floor and two bedrooms are on the top floor.

  • As with all our properties smoking is not permitted.
  • There is WiFi.
  • Pets are not permitted in this property.
  • If you require a high chair or travel cot please ask at the time of booking.
  • Please note bedding is not provided for travel cots.
  • There is no allocated parking with this property. Everything you need is close by and we recommend, where possible, you travel to Brighton using public transport. if you do need to bring your car there are car parks in the local area and metered parking on the seafront. Please ask for details.
