Large, beautifully appointed maisonette
A large well appointed maisonette with two bedrooms, two reception rooms, two bathrooms and roof terrace. This spacious maisonette spans the firs and second floors of a Victorian house. It has a very welcoming feel to it and is situated in the fashionable and highly desirable part of Brighton known as “Kemp Town Village”. Brighton College is just across the road. Nearby there are lots of independent shops, delis, cafes and vintage stores plus it’s close to the beach.
TRIPLE BUNK BED0
The master bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom is a twin room.
College Road is a large and spacious Victorian maisonette. It really is a home from home with period features and furnished with a very homely feel. The property is neutrally decorated and is in a great location with the independent shops, coffee shops and gastro pubs all at the end of the road.
It’s a really practical holiday let choice either for an executive here for work or for a holiday. The beach front is just at the end of the road and there are buses directly into central Brighton just around the corner if you don’t want to walk into town. Brighton College is opposite, the Royal Sussex Hospital is just along the road and American Express offices are very close too..
There are steps to the main front door. In the shared entrance hallway there is a door to just one other apartment. The front door to College Road apartment is directly in front of the main entrance door.
Up some stairs and the first room that is approached as you enter the maisonette is the dining room. This attractive room has a brick exposed non working fireplace and patio doors leading out onto a fully enclosed roof terrace.
There is a natural wood dining table with benches.
There are patio doors leading from the dining room onto the small fully enclosed private roof terrace that catches the south coast sun. We accept a well behaved dog by arrangement and this terrace is safe for your pet and ideal if you want to go out and leave a door open so they can access the terrace themselves so long as they don’t bark. This is a place where smokers can smoke as we do not allow smoking in the property itself.
Up three steps and next to the dining room is the kitchen which again has beautiful exposed brickwork. It has a dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, five ring gas cooker and oven, fridge/freezer etc and everything you need to self cater.
Next to the kitchen is the spacious lounge which has a beautiful imposing original fireplace. It is tastefully decorated with leather sofas and Laura Ashley sideboard. It has an LCD tv, a dvd player and WiFi. The room is decorated to create a very homely welcoming feel. Large sash windows let in lots of light and there are high ceilings and period features.
Shower Room and WC
There is a shower room and wc on this floor.
Bedrooms and en suite bathroom
On the next floor are two bedrooms each with its own beautiful Victorian fireplace. The master bedroom is spacious and beautifully appointed and has a good selection of built in wardrobes and two chests of drawers and a double bed. There is plenty of room for a travel cot.
There is an en-suite with bathroom which has a bath with a shower over it.
The second bedroom is again decorated neutrally and to a high standard. There are twin beds and fitted wardrobes.
Some of the decor and furniture is slightly different to the photos now and the blue bedroom is not available for use.We are awaiting new photos The blue bedroom in the photos is an additional attic bedroom but the apartment is offered as a two bedroom with this attic room not in use. There are very steep open riser wooden stairs leading to this attic room so please note if you have young children or a toddler the stairs to the attic might be a problem as they might be inclined to keep going up there!
- White bed linen and white towels are included. If you are staying for longer period and would like the property cleaned regularly during your stay we can also arrange this for you at additional cost.
- All utility costs are included.
- A well behaved dog may be accepted by arrangement.
- There is WiFi.
- Parking is by meter in nearby streets or on the seafront, although we recommend you come to Brighton using public transport as you don’t need a car while you are here. If you do come by car, you can stop outside briefly to unload and we can try to advise you where you can leave your car for the duration of your stay.
- The roof terrace is not to be used after 10pm.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice and worked well for our visit to attend a wedding at the pavillion ( which was lovely and the weather was glorious) Really enjoyed havibng a good espresso pot! Hanfy for the Co-op round the corner. Wi-fi worked well and a lovely big tv! Lovely bakery nearby. Your website is excellent and you have many great properties to choose from with great photos and information, maps etc. Thank you for a good service!Carolyn, 06 February 2011

Thank you so much for all your help this weekend. Namely in helping us find the right property. College Road was perfect for our needs. The flat was beautifully arranged and kept and we all felt at home there for the duration of our stay. I would happily recommend the flat and your service to anyone I know.D.L, 06 February 2011
