 oppy Cottage is a beautiful house set over three floors in the district of Brighton called Hanover. Close to the famous Brighton Pavilllion and the Laines it is in a street of coloured houses and makes a great base for a stay in Brighton. Hanover is a community with lots of little corner shops and quality gastro pubs. It is a ten minute walk to the seafront and close to the centre of town. At the top of the road is Queens Park which has a small lake, a great children’s playground and small café. Parking is free in the streets surrounding Poppy Cottage.
The property is neutrally decorated to a high standard and full of period features.
A description of the property
The house has been newly refurbished and has a quality kitchen and bathroom. It is furnished to a high standard with beautiful light fittings, bed sets and towels yet has a homely feel to it. With lamps and accessories making it a real home from home it’s more than just a place to stay.
Family Area
On the basement level there is an L-shaped open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with large doors which open right back onto the sunny decked patio garden. This is a lovely room with wooden floors; a place to regroup at the end of a busy day. The kitchen is newly fitted and has a gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. It is next to a large dining table that seats six. Following on is the lounge area with a brown leather sofa, armchair and pouffe. It is tastefully accessorised with cushions and pictures. There is a LCD tv with Freeview channels and a dvd and CD player. There is an additional downstairs WC. The decked patio garden has a garden table and outside lighting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day on the beach or for an al fresco breakfast before you go off for the day’s activities. The patio garden is a safe place for toddlers to play as there is no back entrance to the property or if you have dogs there is no-where they can escape!
Bathroom
On the ground floor is the large bathroom which is luxuriously fitted with high quality fittings. There is a white bathroom suite and separate shower cubicle that has a large shower head.
Bedrooms
The Gold Room
Next to the bathroom is the gold bedroom. This is a double room but it can be changed to a twin. It is beautifully accessorised and has quality bedding in white and gold with mahogany furniture.
The Red Room
On the first floor is the romantic red room. This has a red chandelier and ornamental Victorian fireplace and is again beautifully furnished and accessorised. Again, there is a double bed that can also be separated into two singles if required.
The Lilac Room
At the back of the house is the lilac bedroom. It is the smallest of the three bedrooms and has calming lilac walls and twin beds.
Additional Information
There is a travel cot and high chair at the house. All bed linen and towels are included. These are changed on a weekly basis. If you are staying for longer than a week we can arrange for the property to be cleaned for you at a small additional cost.
If you require dog walking/dog sitting this can be arranged at an additional cost.
All electricity and gas costs are included and you control the thermostat! The property has gas central heating.
If you would like champagne and chocolates waiting for you on arrival or pampering treatments ready to indulge yourself all this can be arranged with us. We can also have a basic grocery pack waiting for you. Whatever your requirements we are happy to help.

Price for other requirements such as additional cleaning services, babysitting (CRB checked and well known to us), welcome grocery pack etc all by arrangement with us.
We hold a £250 damage/cleaning deposit that will be returned in full as soon as you leave providing there are no major breakages or damage.
