Marine House used to be two 19th Century fisherman’s cottages. It was later the home of stage and screen actress Dame Flora Robson and has a blue plaque designating it a house of special historical interest.

It is situated in the fashionable and highly desirable part of Brighton known as “Kemp Town Village”. Approximately a five minute walk to Brighton Pier, the property is conveniently situated for the centre of Brighton, yet boasts an array of traditional shops just nearby. There is a deli, a traditional grocers, a butcher offering local high quality produce, a bakery, a newsagents, a mini market, as well as a host of other boutique, gift shops and antique shops, all aimed at a discerning clientele.

Within a five minute walking radius there are upmarket cocktail bars, entertainment venues offering jazz/salsa plus much more besides, award winning restaurants such as La Fourchette, and traditional pubs offering great quality food. This really is a fantastic base for a holiday in Brighton because everything is so easily accessible.

A description of the property
The property spans several floors, has three spacious bedrooms and two luxury bathrooms, as well as an additional downstairs cloakroom. It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. There is allocated parking and Broadband Internet access.

Ground floor
Reception Hall
A spacious and welcoming hallway with solid oak flooring. There is an additional downstairs cloakroom.

Kitchen/Dining Room
A large and light room with doors out to a small courtyard area. The bespoke cottage style kitchen has black slate flooring and oak worktops. It is fitted to a very high specification and has Smeg appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. It is fully equipped with everything you need should you wish to self cater. There is enough room to comfortably fit a dining table for six, making a sociable space for people to sit and chat whilst cooking.

First Floor
On the first floor is a pretty and comfortable lounge with doors opening onto a Juliet style balcony.
Adjacent to this is the third bedroom which is a double room with fitted wardrobes.

Second Floor
Up a few steps is bedroom two, another double with fitted wardrobes and next to a beautiful marble tiled bathroom with a bath and shower over it. Next to this is the ensuite for the master bedroom suite which again has marble tiling, a Jacuzzi bath and double size walk in rainfall power shower.

Third Floor
The Duplex Master Bedroom suite is approached via a few stairs and has a wonderful vaulted ceiling and doors opening onto a beautiful south facing terrace with views to the sea and a porcelain tiled floor. Private and tranquil and perfect for relaxing with a gin and tonic before heading out to one of the local restaurants.

Additional Information
All bed linen and towels are included. These are changed on a weekly basis. If you are staying for longer than a week we can arrange for the property to be cleaned for you at a small additional cost.

All electricity and gas costs are included.

Sorry, no pets are allowed at this property.

There is no smoking inside the property but of course you are free two smoke in the courtyard adjacent to the kitchen or on the roof terrace.

Parking for one car is allocated opposite the house and is free.

If you would like champagne and chocolates waiting for you on arrival or pampering treatments ready to indulge yourself all this can be arranged with us. We can also have a basic grocery pack waiting for you. Whatever your requirements we are happy to help.

Price for the property
Rates negotiable.

Price for other requirements such as additional cleaning services, babysitting, welcome grocery pack etc all by arrangement with us.

We hold a £250 damage/cleaning deposit that will be returned in full as soon as you leave providing there are no major breakages or damage.
