The house has oblique sea views and is just 50 metres from the beach. Just two minutes from the pier and a short walk to town and with restaurants, cafes and bars all very close by in the very fashionable and bohemian St James’ Street.
Margaret Street is a very pretty house set over five floors and has 3 bedrooms. Full of character and decorated in a style reminiscent of a French town house. It is very close to the George Street apartment (sleeps 5/6) so for even larger groups these two could be booked together.
A description of the property
Period features and fresh white walls make this a beautiful seaside home from home. The property has a quirky layout. The house has natural wood or tiled flooring throughout apart from in two of the bedrooms which have a neutral carpet.
Basement – Bedroom and en suite WC
On the basement level there is a double bedroom with a tiled floor, under floor heating and an en suite loo. This room has a double bed but can also accommodate a z bed.
Ground Floor- The Dining Room/Kitchen/Patio area
To the right of the spacious hallway is an attractive and elegant dining room with a Victorian fireplace and sociable round table that seats six. White wooden shutters on the windows create a French shabby chic feel. If you wanted accommodate an eleventh person a z-bed can be put here at night. The kitchen is just next door and has everything you need to self cater. There is a dishwasher and microwave, but please note there is no washing machine. It’s quite a small room and we thought you’d use a dishwasher more than a washing machine especially if you’re just coming for a weekend! (If you are staying for a longer period and need to wash clothes there is a launderette just around the corner that provides a service wash.) There is a door from the kitchen to a little patio area where you can smoke if you want to.
First Floor - The Lounge
The first floor lounge has a relaxing feel to it. There are large windows letting natural light flood in and oblique views to the sea. A beautiful original fireplace is complimented by a natural wooden floor. There are books, a stereo and cds, dvds and family games, freeview channels on the LCD tv and WiFi broadband. Two additional people can sleep here as there is a quality sofa bed and also a chaise longue which is also an additional sofa bed.
Across the landing on this floor is a patio roof terrace with a table and chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun before going out.
Second Floor – Bedroom and Family Bathroom
There is a double bedroom painted white with neutral carpets. Across the landing is a spacious family bathroom with a bath with a shower over it.
Top floor - Bedroom
At the very top is a large bright attic bedroom with dual aspect windows. This can be arranged as a double room or twin room. It can also fit a z bed for an additional person.
Additional Information
A travel cot and high chair are available. Please note that there are lots of stairs so this may not necessarily be suitable for unsteady toddlers or the elderly. All bed linen and towels are included. These are changed on a weekly basis. If you are staying for longer than a week we can arrange for the property to be cleaned for you at a small additional cost.
Wonderfully kind (and enhanced CRB checked) babysitters are available. (If you feel at all nervous about leaving your children then you can go out to a quality restaurant, literally round the corner, and be home in two minutes should the babysitter phone you.)
All electricity and gas costs are included and you control the thermostat! The property has gas central heating.
If you would like champagne and chocolates waiting for you on arrival or pampering treatments ready to indulge yourself all this can be arranged with us. We can also have a basic grocery pack waiting for you. Whatever your requirements we are happy to help.
Price for the property
From £495 to £1095
Very well behaved dogs may be accepted by arrangement at an additional cost.
Price for other requirements such as additional cleaning services, babysitting (CRB checked and well known to us), welcome grocery pack etc all by arrangement with us.
We hold a £350 damage/cleaning deposit that will be returned in full as soon as you leave providing there are no major breakages or damage.
