It is situated in the fashionable and highly desirable part of Brighton known as “Kemp Town Village”. The property is conveniently situated for town yet boasts an array of traditional shops just at the end of the road. There is a deli that also serves a great selection of exceptional breakfasts and lunches, a traditional grocers that also sells health foods, a butcher offering local high quality produce, a bakery where you can by freshly baked bread and croissants for your breakfast, a newsagents, a mini market, a beauty salon as well as a host of other boutique and gift shops all aimed at a discerning clientele.
Within a small radius there are award winning restaurants, traditional pubs offering great quality food, plus entertainment venues such as The Hanbury Ballroom, The Concorde and The Jooglebury. This really is a fantastic base for a holiday in Brighton because everything is so easily accessible yet the property is set in a quiet spot with Brighton city centre just a short walk away.
A description of the property
The property is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and full of period features.
Dining Room
The first room that is approached as you enter the maisonette is the dining room. This bright and attractive room has a large cherry wood dining table and cherry wood parquet flooring. There are pictures and paintings that give a homely feel to the property.
Master Bedroom
To the side of the dining room is the master bedroom. This is again very tastefully furnished in keeping with the property.
The Kitchen
To the other side of the dining room is the kitchen. This beautiful room has very high quality cherry wood units and a five ring gas cooker. It has a dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and is very well equipped with everything you could need should you wish to self cater. There is a small breakfast bar at one end with double doors which lead out to the patio garden.
The Terrace
There are patio doors leading from the kitchen out into the Mediterranean style patio garden. Like an oasis, this is full of flowers and greenery and is a cool and private retreat. A great place to relax with a drink on those summer evenings! (We do not allow smoking in the property but of course you are free to smoke on the terrace if you want to.) The terrace has a patio table with four chairs. (We accept pets by arrangement and this garden is safe for your pet.)
The Lounge
Upstairs is the lounge which has full length, large bow windows offering oblique views to the sea. The lounge has a sofa and two armchairs, a beautiful open fireplace and is tastefully decorated and furnished with lamps, a large rug and a built in bookcase. There is a tv and dvd player. It is perfect for romantic evenings in!
Bathroom
The bathroom is in a period style and has high quality white and marble fittings and a large shower cubicle.
Bedroom 2
The second bedroom looks out to the garden. It has a double bed and is furnished with period pieces.
Additional Information
All bed linen and towels are included. These are changed on a weekly basis. If you are staying for longer than a week we can arrange for the property to be cleaned for you at a small additional cost.
If you require dog walking/dog sitting this can be arranged at an additional cost.
All electricity and gas costs are included and you control the thermostat! The property has gas central heating and a real fire in the lounge; great for cosy winter nights!
Parking is on a meter unless you are a permit holder, but after you have unpacked you can park your car a few streets away where there are no permits needed. We may be able to issue some daily permits at a cost of £3 for 24 hours. A car is not necessary to get around as everything is close by and public transport is so good. If you are staying for longer than a few weeks and need your car we can advise you on how to buy a resident’s permit which will cost about £20.
If you would like champagne and chocolates waiting for you on arrival or pampering treatments ready to indulge yourself all this can be arranged with us. We can also have a basic grocery pack waiting for you. Whatever your requirements we are happy to help.
